Abstract
The role of diagnostic lumbar discography in the evaluation of patients with degenerative disc disease and severe low back pain remains controversial and several complications of this procedure have been reported. The authors present a case of cauda equine syndrome as complication of diagnostic lumbar discography. We reviewed the medical literature on the compli- cation of this controversial procedure.
