Abstract
Spinal epidural lipomatosis is a rare complication of iatrogenic Cushing's syndrome. We report a patient with cauda equina syndrome due to spinal epidural lipomatosis. As the patient's neurologic deficit had been progressing, the authors decided to perform surgery prior to trying medical therapy. At the time of surgery, we could verify excessive amount of fat compressing the thecal sac. After the operation, the patient's symptoms were relieved.
