CSRS-Neurospine Special Issue
Topic: Cervical Spine Deformity

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the Editorial Board, we are very pleased to announce that Neurospine will publish a special issue on “Cervical Spine Deformity” in collaboration with the Cervical Spine Research Society (CSRS, https://www.csrs.org). The target date for this special issue is December 2022.

We are excited to partner with our colleagues at the CSRS and around the world for an extraordinary collaboration featuring the latest clinical and research advances in cervical spine deformity (CSD). Cervical spine deformity (CSD) is a debilitating condition that causes severe pain and disability and has a negative impact on health-related quality of life.

Thus, new ideas and therapeutic targets are needed for the development of safe and optimal CSD treatments.

This Special Issue focuses on evaluation and surgical treatment for CSD. We welcome both original research and review articles.

Potential topics include but are not limited to the following:

  • • Principles /Practicalities of “normal” Cervical Alignment
  • • Concepts and techniques in Prevention of Cervical Deformity
  • • Classification(s) of Cervical Deformity
  • • Congenital Cervical Deformity
  • • Cervical Deformity of RA and Spondyloarthropathies
  • • Cervical Deformity of Spondylotic/Degenerative Disease
  • • Post Traumatic Cervical Deformity
  • • Post Laminectomy Cervical Deformity
  • • Post laminoplasty Deformity
  • • Cervical Deformity after Adult Deformity Surgery (PJK/PJF ETC)
  • • Cervical deformity associated with cerebral palsy
  • • Upper Cervical Deformity
  • • Reciprocal changes following cervical realignment surgery
  • • Pseudarthrosis and DJK in cervical deformity patients
  • • Postinfectious cervical deformity
