SMISS-Neurospine Special Issue
Topic: Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery

Dear Colleagues:

On behalf of the Editorial Board, we are very pleased to announce that Neurospine will publish a special issue on minimally invasive spine surgery (MISS) in collaboration with SMISS (Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery; https://www.smiss.org). The target date for this special issue is October 2022.

We are pleased to announce our partnership with our colleagues at SMISS, the world-leading group in the field of MISS. SMISS was founded as a non-profit organization in 2007 to provide a venue for spine specialists dedicated to MISS to gather. Throughout the last decade, this organization has grown into an international hub for minimally invasive spine surgeons, including both neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons. We are looking forward to a fascinating collaboration discussing the latest high-level clinical and research advances in MISS. With the shared purpose of advancing spine surgery through research and education, we hope to promote an international exchange of knowledge and ideas through this issue dedicated to MISS.

By this special issue, in collaboration with SMISS, we wish to provide our readers the most advanced knowledge in this field from top leaders in MISS. Of course, we also hope to present an open space for active, unlimited discussion through your participation.

The lead editors for this issue are Dr. Jin-Sung Kim (Korea), Dr. Yoshihisa Kotani (Japan), Dr. Junseok Bae (Korea), Dr. Juan Uribe (USA), and Dr. Roger Härtl (USA). In addition, 15 guest editors and 4 executive editors will also play major roles in contributing to this special issue.
